Canada-Born Striker Makes Nigeria’S U20 Wwc Final Squad

Nigeria's U-20 women's national team has released the final 21-woman squad list for the upcoming 2026 U-20 Women's World Cup tournament.

 

According to FIFA, via its official website, the West African side named a strong squad consisting of three goalkeepers, six defenders, four midfielders, and eight forwards.

 

While 20 players were born and raised in the country, Amber Ogbolu is the only foreign-born player in coach Moses Aduku's squad.

 

Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, to Nigerian parents, Amber Ogbolu plays college soccer for Oregon State University in the NCAA Division I ranks in the United States.

 

The midfielder received her first invitation to camp earlier this year and was part of the side that defeated Poland 1-0 in a pre-tournament warm-up game.

 

Amber Ogbolu will hope to follow Courtney Dike's path by making a name for herself and her country throughout the three-week competition.

 

Drawn in Group F, the Super Falconets will open their campaign against Spain on September 7, before facing China PR on September 10.

 

They will complete their group-stage fixtures against New Caledonia on September 13, hoping to progress to the knockout stage.
